Breakdown Of Sanity
Attention all you SUMMER BREEZE pit fighters and core fanatics! With BREAKDOWN OF SANITY we present an early highlight for your personal running order!
The Swiss admittedly don't reinvent the metal/deathcore wheel, but this isn't even possible nowadays. Instead, they manage to repackage the right ingredients (massive breakdowns, fierce growls, huge gang shouts, lightning-fast riffs) in a way that you are forced to put your body in motion somehow. While the band's focus is on pure brutality, they always still leave enough room for melodic interludes in between all the sonic violence. This means the BRAKDOWN OF SANITY gig is mandatory physical education for all core fans from A(s I Lay Dying) to W(hitechapel). Don't forget your trainers!
Agalloch
Good news for all fans of atmospheric black/folk/doom: AGALLOCH will grace SUMMER BREEZE with their presence for the first time in 2015!
For years we have tried to book this band, which is seen extremely seldom around these parts. And we finally succeeded! The Oregon quartet is not only going to present old gems from their discography, which is extremely interesting especially for all (vinyl) collectors, but also some gripping tracks from their current album 'The Serpent & The Sphere'. Those who want to experience a perfect mix of black metal, folk, doom, post rock/metal, melancholy, lugubrious melodies and an unfathomable mysticism, united into a densely woven whole that the listener quickly gets lost in, are onto something special with AGALLOCH. A very special highlight for SUMMER BREEZE 2015 which is not to be missed!
Cradle Of Filth
It's been seven long years since this band last played SUMMER BREEZE: CRADLE OF FILTH!
Look forward to the precursors of gothic black metal, who since the early 90s managed to marry merciless black metal with the warm melancholy and aesthetic symbolism of goth. Purists didn't like this, but then again, Dani Filth and Co. never really catered to narrow-minded spirits. They always stood and still stand by their romantic-horror-influenced music, which has one main goal: to entertain people. And this is something the Brits have definitely achieved on their ten studio albums (#11 is in the making right now), no matter whether the pendulum swung more in the black metal or the gothic direction. CRADLE OF FILTH created their very own niche, in which everything from complex symphonic song structures to heavy and to-the-point riffs has its place. Which obviously includes their fans... especially at SUMMER BREEZE 2015!
Trivium
For the first time in their career, TRIVIUM will kick the SUMMER BREEZE crowd's arses!
...for real! We don't really need to mention that the modern metal regents led by Matt Heafy have enough riffs to downright scorch the Dinkelsbühl fields. Each one of their six albums can be recommended blindly and puts tears in the eyes of all modern metal fans with a bond to traditional metal. Because what began in 2003 in the metalcore scene has evolved into a metallic powerhouse that can easily fill the biggest festivals in the world to the last spot. And rightfully so, because TRIVIUM have something for everyone! Core fans, thrash fans and metal fans: unite! Get to the Main Stage in time, because TRIVIUM will only play one show in Germany in 2015, and it's going to be at SUMMER BREEZE.
