From 21 to 28 confirmed acts for Rock Werchter 2016

New names announced for Rock Werchter on Friday afternoon. That’s how it should be, and that’s how it is! Some nice confirmations have come in the last few days. Seven names to the good: Tame Impala, At The Drive-In, Sigma Live, Band of Horses, Gary Clark Jr., Savages and Bear’s Den.

Earlier this week, the ‘loudest silent movie on earth’, Gutterdämmerung, was announced for Thursday 30 June. Sigma Live will also be at the first day of the festival. At The Drive-In and Gary Clark Jr. have been added to the line-up for Friday 1 July. Tame Impala, Band of Horses and Savages come to Werchter on Saturday 2 July. Bear’s Den will perform on Sunday 3 July. The bill-in-progress for Rock Werchter 2016 is now 28 names long. More announcements on the way.

• Sunday 3 July: Bear’s Den, Florence the Machine, Jamie xx, MØ, The Last Shadow Puppets, Unknown Mortal Orchestra
