Frum releases new single Whirlpool

Faroese experimental pop artist FRUM is thrilled to share her new single ‘Whirlpool’, released via Tutl Records, today. It follows the release of her last single ‘Rise,’ which came out early January and marked FRUM’s return to releasing new music.

‘Whirlpool’ captures the intense emotions and thoughts that come with loving someone deeply. In this single, FRUM explores the overwhelming force of love—one that draws you in completely. Through haunting melodies and heartfelt lyrics, Whirlpool invites listeners to lose themselves in its captivating depths. It blends vulnerability and intensity, resonating with anyone who has ever been completely consumed by love.

As FRUM stated, "we are always spinning through life, but sometimes, we find ourselves revolving around someone.”

About FRUM

FRUM is the artist project by Jenný Kragesteen, a Faroese musician known for her ability to push the boundaries of experimental pop music, with her distinctive sound that blends ethereal vocals, intricate production, and deeply personal storytelling.

Growing up in the Faroe Islands, close to breaking waves and green mountains, Jenný released her first single “Birdstone” in 2016. This was followed by a number of singles and striking visuals and music videos. She quickly attracted international interest, resulting in showcase gigs at Reeperbahn Festival, a support show for Morcheeba, and gaining placements on the H&M in-store playlist and Netflix productions.

Then life happened. Jenný became a mother, moved to Iceland, but did not take it slow. She continuously worked on her art and focused on recording her debut album, “For The Blue Sky”, which was released on hfn music in 2022. With ‘Rise’, FRUM gives us an anticipation of new music material filled with a fresh Nordic take on electro-pop and personal stories that one easily relates to. Her music videos, often directed, styled and edited by herself, complete her universe, of which you will crave to be a part of.
