Future & Metro Boomin feat. Travis Scott & Playboi Carti - "Type Shit"

On Monday March 18th 2024, superstars and all-around icons Futureand Metro Boomin hit the stage at Rolling Loud California to perform a hit-filled set that included the premiere of "Type Shit," their exhilarating, Travis Scott and Playboi Carti-assisted new single and the previously teased "Cinderella." Both tracks are taken from their forthcoming joint album, We Don't Trust You, out today.

Bouncing beneath the glow of shapeshifting water graphics, Future and Metro — along with featured artist Travis Scott — absorbed all the kinetic energy of the festival as they let loose bars from "Type Shit." With fog clouding the stage and the pummeling bass at their back, the debut had all the cinematic thrills of a climactic superhero showdown. That moment was part of a 36-song set Future and Metro delivered to fans. The duo was also joined by Don Toliver for "Too Many Nights" and Quavo, who belted out "Turn Yo Clique Up" featuring Future. It was also just the latest harbinger of the electrifying showcase set to arrive with We Don’t Trust You, a joint LP that celebrates the historic partnership of two rap legends at the peak of their powers. The hotly anticipated album drops March 22. They’ll also have an after party with the second joint LP they’re due to release April 12.

Listeners around the world are bracing for impact — two LPs' worth of Metro’s sinister cinematic soundscapes and Future’s irresistible demon musicality. These projects are a culmination of rap's most fruitful partnership. Since meeting when Metro was only 17 years old, Hendrix and Metro have penetrated the streets and the pop culture consciousness with engrossing hustler theme songs — stylish anthems that resonate everywhere from the block and beyond. Most recently, the two connected on Metro’s 2022 album, Heroes & Villains, an all-star LP that flaunted both Metro's imagination and instinctive flair for the theatrical. They'd fortify their connection with tracks like 2015's "Jumpman" (with Drake) and 2017’s "Mask Off," singles that have combined to be certified 14-times Platinum by the RIAA. As part of their partnership, Metro even turned a Future bar into an unmistakable producer tag: "If Young Metro don't trust you I'm gon' shoot you."
