Gaeya releases poignant new single 'The Lucky Ones'

Swedish Earth Music artist Gaeya has released her brand new single ‘The Lucky Ones’, the latest song to be taken from her forthcoming EP Growth out June 19th.

‘The Lucky Ones’ is a glorious glacial pop track which pushes for progressive change and acceptance that the power is in our hands, with our responsibility to create a brighter future. Gaeya delivers this message with her lush vocals which soar upon a bed warm bass, bright synths, and minimal yet commanding percussion, while she closes the track with an intoxicating chant channelling her Nordic ancestry.

Regarding the single Gaeya says, “‘The Lucky Ones’ is a song dedicated to every human being on this planet. It is a call for hope, courage, and conscious action — a reminder that we all carry the power to choose love over fear, compassion over division, and truth over silence.

At its core, the song is about reclaiming our connection to life, nature, and to one another. It speaks about the responsibility we share to protect what is sacred and essential: clean water, living forests, wild nature, free animals, and the right to grow our own seeds and nourish ourselves in harmony with the wild Earth.

‘The Lucky Ones’ follows the release of lead single ‘Higher Ground’, a song which further captures the path of realignment which is reflected throughout the forthcoming Growth EP. ‘Higher Ground’ is an optimistic song marrying captivating ethereal synths with a commanding tribal rhythm. It calls upon a cleansing of the world’s current catastrophic trends for the need of a safe and healthy future.

The Growth EP is a perfect paring of past and present, finding Gaeya pulling from the sonics of her Nordic ancestry, while propelling sounds into the future with a rich tapestry of electronics produced by Anders Rane. It follows her acclaimed 2021 debut EP Awakening, which symbolised the first wave of awareness that many people experienced—a moment of questioning: “What do I truly want from my life?”. The Growth EP now arrives to offer support along that path, inviting us, and sometimes pushing us, to grow.

Gaeya is a Swedish artist and visionary creating immersive musical experiences that invite audiences into deeply transformative journeys. Gaeya has received several cultural awards and was selected for an artist residency at Green Box Arts in Colorado Springs, where she was awarded grants to support her creative work. During her residency, she performed at the Ent Center for the Arts, appeared on American television, and created original works for one of James Turrell’s renowned Skyspaces.

Driven by a desire to create deeper audience connection, Gaeya is also the founder of WE ARE NATURE Festival, GAEYA Tipi Tour, Tell Us Podcast, and the FIND Foundation (GAEYA Foundation) – an initiative supporting rewilding, regenerative practices, and the protection of Indigenous lands, cultures, and creative expression.
