Gavin James release Winter Songs (Christmas EP)

On Wednesday 2nd November 2016, Gavin James was announced as the winner of the ‘Breaking Artist’ award at the Music Business Worldwide A&R Awards, nominees for the award included Dua Lipa, Stormzy, and Anne-Marie. ‘Winter Songs’, a collection of 6 Christmas tracks recorded in the iconic RAK Studio 1 (Adele, Sam Smith) was released on 25th November 2016. The collection includes Christmas classics such as ‘Fairytale of New York’,

‘Driving Home for Christmas’ and ‘White Christmas’. Gavin has been invited by Ireland’s largest National Broadcaster RTE to perform at St James’ Church in Dingle for an ‘Other Voices Gavin James Christmas Special’ on 1 December. Gavin’s performance will be broadcast on National Television during the festive programming and will be made available to Gavin’s subscribers on YouTube/VEVO from the 12th December.

Following a sold out show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in October 2016, Gavin is also announcing a headline London show at ‘The Forum’ on the 8th April 2017 (2,300 capacity). Gavin James released his eagerly-anticipated debut album, ‘Bitter Pill’ on March 11th 2016 - reaching Top 5 status, certified Platinum and winner of Choice Music Prize’s ‘Song of the Year’ in his native Ireland in 2013 and 2016. The album is currently in its 50 th consecutive week on the Irish charts and has consistently been in the Top 50 sellers during that time and is certified Platinum. His latest release ‘Nervous’ is now Gold in Norway & The Netherlands and Platinum in Sweden and Ireland. Following a sold-out London show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire, support from Radio 1, Beats 1 and Radio X, 750,000 plays a day and over 100 million plays on Spotify, and a 15,000 cap 3Arena in Dublin booked for December.
