Gavin James releases "Heavy"

After a sold out European and Brazilian Tour Gavin James returns with his new single called “Heavy”. Influenced by gospel & soul “Heavy” showcases Gavin’s incredible vocal range and tells the story of looking back on his younger self. He says. “Heavy is a song about reflecting on how you where when you where younger. It’s about a time when you didn’t really stress about much, and life felt a little lighter on your shoulders. The chorus takes on a different meaning with the “wild desire” lyrics. It’s about trying to mask the heaviness of the world with alcohol whilst having a pretty bleak outlook on life. It kind of dwells on some of my past mistakes as a person and how I wish I could go back and fix them as the person I feel I am today”.

Gavin’s festival touring season has already started with a performance at Paaspop Festival in Holland last week, where he was joined on stage by Douwe Bob and Gavin also teamed up with Hannah Mae for a recording of an English-Dutch version of his single Afterlife.

This summer he will be performing at several festivals across Europe including Portugal longest running Festival "Feira de São Mateus" and Switzerland of Summer Days Festival. Bach home in Ireland Gavin will be doing a series of headline summer shows which are on sale now.

“Heavy” is released today on Sony Music and Gavin is currently finishing recording his new album due for releases later this year.
