Get ready for Electric Love – Electric Love is preparing for the onrush

by Tom Van Tongerloo

From the 8th until the 11th of July, Electric Love will welcome the best DJs in the world, along with thousands of music lovers from around the world to Salzburg. The preparations that will see the Salzburgring adapted into the Electric Love Festival site have been going on for weeks.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) sees the Warm‐Up Party at the festival area with the Club Circus stage hosting R3hab, Deorro and others.

The organizers estimate that 50% of the visitors will arrive on Wednesday, 40% will arrive on Thursday, 9% on Friday and the last 1% will only travel to Electric Love on Saturday. These estimations were used to create a traffic concept which will prevent delays and traffic jams.

Travel information from Günther Greisl of Verkehrspuls Visitors travelling with their own car or caravan will be led by a traffic management system to the vast parking area. We ask visitors to please take note of the colours of the signsthat are situated around the arrival areas, as these correspond with the colours of the festival tickets. Visitors can thereby easily follow the signs to the parking spaces or drop off points.

We suggest that our guests from Salzburg and the sorrounding areas take the free Electric Love Shuttle to get to the festival. The shuttle will be going back and forward between Salzburg‘s main train station and the festival area around the clock. It leaves Salzburg ‘s station every 30 minutes.

Friends or parents who are looking to drop off visitors to the festival should be aware that this is only possible in one of the many „Kiss and Go areas“ that are situated around the festival area. Simply follow the signs to these spots. The „Kiss and Go areas“ are situated near the camping areas and the entrance for single ‐ day visitors.

Visitors should also keep in mind that it is forbidden to stop or park on the B158 (Wolfgangsee Straße):

  • For guests coming from the A1 from the Thalgau exit onwards.
  • For guests coming from Salzburg from Koppl onwards.
  • For guests coming from Hallein (A10) from the end oft he Wiestal street onwards
  • For guests coming from St. Gilgen from exit „Hof“
