Giant Sky III 02.10.26 + The Further We Go the Deeper It Gets (16.10.26)

A single from GIANT SKY III will be released on September 4, followed by a track from TFWGTDIG on October 2. News and radio submissions will be sent out closer to the respective release dates.

Giant Sky is the captivating solo project of Norwegian musician Erlend Viken, best known as the vocalist, keyboardist and principal songwriter of acclaimed progressive rock band Soup. While Soup has earned a reputation for its emotionally charged, crescendo-driven soundscapes, Giant Sky explores a broader and more introspective musical landscape.

Blending elements of alternative art rock, post-rock, electronica, indie, ambient, folk and progressive rock, the project showcases a fearless approach to songwriting and sound design, while offering a more immediate and accessible experience than some of Viken’s work with Soup.

The last part of the GIANTSKY trilogy is a two-piece. Followed by giant sky III on October 2 is the closing postlude of an additional LP - The Further We Go The Deeper It Gets on October 16. Guest artist such as Mogwai's Stuart Braithwaite, Andreas Berg, Myrtoula Røe and Tuva Halse provides an elaborate list of references.
