Gos Rosling new single Caroline is out
Caroline (i should’ve known better) is the very first single by Gos Rosling as a band. Following a wonderful year of solo shows in some of the greatest venues of The Netherlands and Belgium (Paard, Mezz, Nieuwe Nor, Fluor, Depot, Kavka), Luca got lonely onstage. That’s why he surrounded himself with a bunch of talented musicians coming from young powerhouses in the Belgian scene such as Lupa Gang Gang and Mojo & The Kitchen Brothers. The single they’re presenting is an abrupt turn away from what Gos Rosling sounded like, and is inspired by the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Two Door Cinema Club and Inhaler.
The single was recorded by Koenraad Foesters (Rhinos are People Too) and Hannes Lodewijckx (Jack Vamp) at Studio Jupiter. Mastering was done by none other than Mike Marsh who previously worked with Franky Goes To Hollywood; Aretha Franklin; Oasis; Duran Duran; and Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Popul.
Caroline (i should’ve known better) is a song about distancing yourself from the person you once loved but come to realize they don’t have the best interest at heart and just hold you down. It’s about getting fucked from behind (figuratively) in a not consensual way. You’re left with the pieces and need to build yourself back up.
