Gosto returns with new single 'Yurnodalone'

On Friday the 9th of July, singer-songwriter, musician and producer GOSTO will release his self-made single 'Yurnodalone'. The single is the first song of his EP, which will be released at the end of this year.

Yurnodalone

'Yurnodalone' tells the story about sharing the deeper layers within yourself. Roel GOSTO Vermeer on the release: “The nostalgic feeling that the music evokes was leading for writing the lyrics. In the lyrics I promise to show my love as honest as possible; after all, life has so many faces.” This is also the starting point for the accompanying video clip, in which many strange faces appeal to the imagination.

GOSTO

GOSTO's success started with the release of his debut album 'Memory Ivy' (2016). After that he toured from Germany to Japan, played at the famous Dutch TV program De Wereld Draait Door and played as support act for Jamie Lidell, Oscar and the Wolf and Thomas Dybdahl. The second album 'What do You Mean, You Need a Color TV' (2019) brought more soul, lightness and tempo to his music. This was partly due to the collaboration with Will Knox, a born storyteller, and singer and producer Tim van Berkestijn, better known as Benny Sings. His work reached over 10 million streams combined.

New Music

After these exciting developments and collaborations, GOSTO went to the drawing board and returned to the origin of his passion. Producing intimate but accessible and catchy songs. What started as something for himself alone has now grown into something he is so passionate about that he wants to share it with as many people as possible.

The single is the Amsterdam singer's first new work in 2 years. The instruments have been recorded and edited analogously, so that the imperfections of the recordings remained intact. Characteristic is the combination of this imperfection with a lot of attention to detail. The music is playful and organic, warm and melodic, groovy and dreamy, nostalgic and sensitive.
