Graceful releases 'Demiurgia' [heavy fusion]

Enhanced by Swedish post-metal band Cult Of Luna's guitarist Magnus Líndberg, GRACEFUL's new album 'Demiurgia' tackles the question of duality by making light of experimental rock, trip hop and stoner rock. The mix is as daring and vibrant as coherent. The ten tracks' whole story is sprinkled by inspired sonic sets, mechanical and organic sound effects, various in-depth vocal techniques and an highly addictive groove.

'Demiurgia' is coming out on September 17th through Vlad Productions.

From madness to contemplation, from violence to lyricism, Nantes's quartet GRACEFUL deliver a language that fuses experimental rock and trip hop soundings. A bold identity that questions human duality, plays with ambiguity, confuses the listener without loosing itself at any time.

As an introduction to their uncompromising molten world, the band's debut album 'No One Hears Us' sees the light on 2017. Their Mike Patton-like vocal techniques guide the experienced ear from one extreme to the other, strictly rejecting any kind of boredom to better showcase a clever and thrilling artistic exploration. Graceful create unique atmospheres with the help of sound effects and industrial or electronic elements firmly rooted in a heavy rock basis, and peppered by a raucous groove.

Graceful's live performances are also particularly remarkable: three guitars and two basses are playing intermittently on stage! The show is total and astonishing.

Their sophomore album 'Demiurgia', recorded live at Black Box studio (Noyant-la-Gravoyère, France) by Arthur Lauth and mastered by Magnus Líndberg (of Cult Of Luna), is coming out on September 17th 2021 through Vlad Productions. Claude Orain (bass, guitar) comments: "Demiurgia is about psyche and its instabilities. As the first track suggests, it opens "The Passage" towards the abysses of a twisted mind looking for inner peace somewhere among his own flaws. We chose to work with Black Box Studio to record the ten tracks of this second album. The place is known for being a good choice to record live. And it's true! Except for the first track, which is kind of a bridge between our debut album and this one, the whole thing sounds very organic. We wanted something raw, warm, to feel the breath of the amps, to seize the moment...
