Graham Coxon's Previously Unreleased Solo Album 'Castle Park' is OUT NOW

 Out now! The first-time release of a never-before-heard solo studio album from Graham Coxon. Titled Castle Park and recorded in 2011, the previously unreleased record comes as part of a comprehensive reissue of Coxon’s complete solo catalogue on Transgressive Records, spanning 9 studio albums and 3 original soundtracks, across the coming months. The release of Castle Park comes with a new single titled ‘Easy’, with a video directed by Aidan Cochrane, who designed the Castle Park artwork. Watch HERE.

Coxon will play a run of sold out in-store shows next month: Rough Trade Nottingham on 20th July; Headrow House (in association with Crash), Leeds on 21st July; and Rough Trade East in London on 23rd July. Tickets & information HERE.

With his upcoming career-spanning show at O2 Forum Kentish Town now sold out, Graham Coxon has announced an additional run of UK dates which will take in Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol and Brighton in the run up to the London show on Saturday 28th November. • Produced by Ben Hillier (blur - Think Tank), Castle Park was recorded in 2011 as part of the AE (2012) sessions. Originally intended as a follow up to AE, the release was postponed due to blur activity in 2012, before Coxon moved on to other projects. Castle Park is a collection of 10 songs that lean into the artist’s classic mod sound, with lead single ‘Billy Says’ - a longtime feature of Coxon’s live set - already familiar to fans and now finally available for the first time.
  With his back catalogue long sold out and in high demand on physical formats, Castle Park kicks off a comprehensive reissue of Coxon’s expansive solo catalogue and comes alongside the re-release of The Sky is Too High and The Golden D, all available on 19 June. Further drops across the coming year will include the studio albums Crow Sit on Blood Tree (2001), The Kiss of Morning (2002), Happiness In Magazines (2004), Love Travels at Illegal Speeds (2006), The Spinning Top (2009), AE (2012); as well as the two Original Songs and Score album soundtracks for The End of The F***ing World 1 (2018) and The End of The F***ing World 2 (2019); and Superstate (2021), the original soundtrack released to accompany the graphic novel of the same name.

The Sky Is Too High (1998) is Coxon’s debut solo album featuring the single 'I Wish'. A lo-fi and uncompromisingly honest body of work, the record is considered a departure from his work with blur at the time, although it marks a world first hinted at in his song ‘You’re So Great’, recorded for the eponymous blur album a year prior. Written, recorded and produced by Coxon, with original artwork by Coxon, the album was originally released on Coxon’s own label Transcopic. Listen HERE.

The Golden D (2000) is Coxon’s second solo studio album. Written, recorded and produced by Coxon, it saw the musician explore a heavier, more punk sound than its predecessor across 10 tracks, including the song ‘Ooochy Woochy’. The 12-track album also includes two covers, ‘Fame and Fortune’ and ‘That’s When I Reach For My Revolver’ by American post-punk band Mission of Burma. ABOUT GRAHAM COXON:

An English musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist, Graham Coxon is one of the most innovative guitarists of his generation, best known as being a founding member of blur. Coxon has also released eight solo albums and frequently composes for film and TV. His passion for experimental and indie music helped shape the distinctive blur sound throughout their imperial hit-making phase, a period that produced a succession of chart-topping albums which propelled the band to mass popularity in the UK and beyond. That adventurousness is also a feature of his solo career, which ranges from folk and Krautrock-inspired albums to soundtrack work.

Coxon’s work as a solo artist includes the studio albums The Sky Is Too High (1998), The Golden D (2000), Crow Sit on Blood Tree (2001), The Kiss of Morning (2002), Happiness in Magazines (2004), Love Travels at Illegal Speeds (2006), The Spinning Top (2009) and AE (2012). His work as a composer include the original songs and score for The End of the F***ing World (2018), The End of the F***ing World 2 (2019), I Am Not Okay with This (2020), and Superstate (2021) released in association with Z2 Comics.

He has collaborated with numerous other artists including Paul Weller on the single ‘This Old Town’ and Pete Doherty on his 2009 album Grace/Wastelands. In 2017 Coxon (along with Damon Albarn) appeared on Ratboy's debut album, Scum, and the same year he recorded the song ‘Falling’ which was released as a fundraiser for the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM). More recently, he recorded a new song titled ‘Parasite’ with English Teacher for the 2026 album HELP(2), in support of War Child, as well as providing guitar for Olivia Rodrigo’s take on The Magnetic Fields song ‘The Book of Love’ on the same album.

The eponymous debut album from The WAEVE - composed of Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall – was released in 2023. The band’s second studio album City Lights was released in 2024.
