Grammy Nomination for Chicago's Wendy and DB! "Into the Little Blue House" - Hometown Tribute to the Blues for Kids & Families
CHICAGO – Chicago-based kindie duo Wendy and DB are thrilled that their fifth album, Into the Little Blue House, is Grammy-nominated in the "Best Children's Music Album" category of the 65th annual Grammy Awards. The blazing talents of the multicultural, award-winning duo blend past and present in this Chicago homestyle tribute to the blues.
Into the Little Blue House is a nod to Wendy and DB's Windy City roots that exemplifies how they work in their community to empower BIPOC children and families. The album is about community, caring, and making the world a better place.
Produced by Grammy-winning producer Michael Freeman, and featuring an assembly of Chicago’s finest blues musicians, including Grammy-winning drummer Kenny “Beedy Eyes” Smith, Into the Little Blue House is a positive and refreshingly wide spin on the blues, delivered in inimitable Wendy and DB style.
“I am thrilled that Into the Little Blue House is nominated for a Grammy," says Darryl "DB" Boggs. "It was one of the best days of my life to receive the news and to know that our colleagues in the music world believe in us.”
“Into the Little Blue House was a labor of love," adds Wendy Morgan." I knew we had made a special album, but when we got the Grammy nomination, it was wonderful to realize that it resonated well with others.”
