Grégoire Gerstmans invites you to 6 intimate showcases across Belgium during the Belgian Music Week

After a highly successful release show at Le Botanique to celebrate the release of his debut album Hypnagogie, Belgian pianist Grégoire Gerstmans invites you to 6 intimate showcases across Belgium during the Belgian Music Week. There's no better way to start 2025 than by discovering his neoclassical universe, which leaves no one indifferent!

Scaffolded in the vaults of an attic, recorded in a single take and without the slightest touch-up, Gerstmans' instrumental compositions are played with purity and languour. As close to the truth as possible, this debut album lets you hear everything: the creaking of the floorboards, the depth of the strings being struck, the distant song of birds, the closeness of emotions. An exploration of space and the passage of time, Hypnagogie is an apology for delicacy, an ode to appeasement, sketched out in the wake of the work of Arvo Pärt, Joep Beving and Nils Frahm. Inspired by the monochromes of Yves Klein and the expressionism of Jackson Pollock, this album gives vital importance to the infinitesimal and, above all, to the intimate.

He unveils a brand-new, delicate and intriguing video (once again directed by himself!) for his track Paradoxes.
