Habitants release dreampop/shoegaze single ‘Bury the Earth’

Out Friday October 9th on all streaming services

A haunting heartbeat, wide shoegazing guitars, heavy reverbs and ethereal Elisabeth Fraser-like vocals tell the story of nature taking a breath within a frozen world. Bury the Earth is a trip through wide open skies and mysterious sea-scapes, eventually exploding in emotion and instrumentation. Produced by Ian Grimble (Daughter), Bury The Earth is the newest release of triple female-fronted shoegaze/dreampop band Habitants. For fans of Slowdive, Massive Attack, Sigur Ros or MONO’s nu-gaze.

Bury the Earth, out on all streaming services on Friday Oct 9th, will be followed by 5 more song releases before a full length will be released in September 2021. Habitants teamed up with artist Stefan Sloot (Vera Groningen) to create the visual artwork for Bury The Earth and their upcoming releases.

About Habitants

Habitants was founded in 2015 by René Rutten (The Gathering) and Gema Perèz. They found Anne van den Hoogen (Rosemary & Garlic) to match their dark film noir sound with airy clear vocals. Along the way Mirte Heutmekers (bass) and Jerôme Miedendorp de Bie (Drive By Wire, drums) were invited to complete the band. Through an Indie-gogo campaign, promoted with their first song Meraki, the band raised the full funding for their debut album One Self (2018).
