Hailee Steinfeld Makes Her Return To Music w/ “Dangerous" From New Movie, Sinners

From Ryan Coogler—director of Black Panther and Creed—and starring Michael B. Jordan comes a new vision of fear: Sinners. Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

Written and directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Coogler, Sinners stars Jordan (the Black Panther and Creed franchises) in a dual role, joined by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (Bumblebee, True Grit), Jack O’Connell (Ferrari), Wunmi Mosaku (Passenger), Jayme Lawson (The Woman King), Omar Miller (True Lies), and Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods).

The film is produced by Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian and Ryan Coogler. The executive producers are Ludwig Göransson, Will Greenfield and Rebecca Cho.

Coogler’s behind-the-camera artisans include his Black Panther franchise collaborators: director of photography Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Oscar-winning production designer Hannah Beachler, editor Michael P. Shawver, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson, and Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents A Proximity Media Production: Sinners. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, in theaters only nationwide on April 18, 2025, and internationally beginning on 16 April 2025.

Ludwig Göransson has earned extensive global recognition in both the recording and motion picture industries as a sought-out composer and musical collaborator, having received two Academy Awards, three Grammy, two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a Critics’ Choice Award, amongst other nominations. Göransson executive produced and scored longtime collaborator Ryan Coogler’s highly anticipated SINNERS, releasing on April 18. The duo’s fourth feature collaboration, and Göransson’s first as EP, SINNERS’ Mississippi setting offers the composer an opportunity to expand his already-colossal sonic range, tapping into rootsy Delta blues for the film’s singular score. Ludwig has written scores for acclaimed films like OPPENHEIMER, BLACK PANTHER, CREED I & II, FRUITVALE STATION, TENET, and BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER in addition to his TV composer credits including beloved shows such as COMMUNITY, THE MANDALORIAN and NEW GIRL. His work on OPPENHEIMER earned him an Academy Award for “Best Original Score,” a Grammy Award, a Golden Globe and a Critics’ Choice Award. Ludwig’s work on BLACK PANTHER earned him a Golden Globe nomination, a Grammy Award for "Best Score Soundtrack," and an Academy Award for "Best Original Score." He returned to score BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER, earning a 2023 Academy Award nomination for "Best Original Song" for the song "Lift Me Up” which also marked Rihanna’s much-hyped return to solo music and debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. As a songwriter, Ludwig is best known for his longtime work with Childish Gambino, including co-writing and co-producing 2018’s “This Is America,” which went on to win Grammy Awards for Record and Song of the Year (the first rap song to achieve this). He has also collaborated with Travis Scott, Alicia Keys, Vampire Weekend, and Adele among others, earning a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year for his work on the latter’s critically-acclaimed 30.
