Hannah Epperson launches first single from new album!

Armed with her violin, loop pedal and voice, sonic weaver Hannah Epperson played numerous concerts across Europe in early 2016 and elated the audiences. With her touching tones she casted a spell on everyone attending her shows. But Hannah Epperson is way more than a „quiet“ neo-classical artist. All her songs also exist as pop versions and unfold a captivating dynamic in this vesture. So it’s only consequent to release both versions as a two-piece album project called 'Slowdown // Upsweep'. On each album there will be songs in a pop format (Amelia) and in a reduced neo-classical format (Iris).

On the 5th of August the first single of the album ‘Upsweep' called 'Story (Amelia)' will be released. 'Story (Amelia)' starts with Hannah Eppersons clear voice shimmed with billowed electronic sounds which grow more and more to an orchestra of feelings. With this song Hannah Epperson underlines her claim to be noticed as a pop artist from the first second on.

The associated video shows the unbelivable artistic diversity of Hannah Epperson, many times she has collaborated with dance and perfomance artists. In this video she shows the touching moves of dancer Rebecca Margolick. The gloomy atmosphere leads to more than just high gloss pictures. An old woman (Hannah Eppersons’ grandmother) and a middle-aged woman (Hannah Eppersons’ mother) interrupt their daily business again and again to look up to the scenery in a wasted pool. Drawn by the movements of the dancer a young girl watches for a while and than escapes very fast. Inbetween we see Hannah Epperson wandering through nature. All together this creates a disturbing atmosphere which leaves room for a lot of interpretations. Director Jake Saner and Hannah Epperson were able to find the right way to express the content of te song with the most fitting pictures. Watch the video here.

From the 5th of August on the single is available at all common streaming and download portals. The Album ‘Upsweep' will be released on September 16th through Sonic Rendezvous.

Right after the release of the album Hannah Epperson will play an extensive tour with more than 30 concerts in England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Hungary, France, Spain and Portugal.

Hannah will be in concert at Huis 23 in Brussels on October the 6th.
