Hannah Storm announces debut album and shares heart wrenching piano ballad 'Special'

Hannah Storm today shares new single ‘Special’, and announces her debut album 'It Will Never Be The Right Time', out 20th March on Petroleum Records (Sigrid, AURORA).

A heart-wrenching ballad, written in London with songwriter and producer Eg White (Adele, Florence The Machine, Kylie Minogue), ‘Special’ is built around Storm’s devastating vocal and a sparse, slow-burning piano arrangement. Sitting in the same emotionally direct, songwriter-led space as artists like Gracie Abrams, Lizzy McAlpine and Paris Paloma, the song traces the fallout of something that once felt certain - replaying words, questioning what was real, and the sense of a relationship slipping away ("is it simply that I was not what you wanted?").

Speaking on the song's release, Hannah Storm said:

“Special is one of the most intimate and personal songs on the album. I wrote it together with Eg White a few years ago, and I cried through the entire writing process, haha! The song means a lot to me, and it feels both a little scary and also really good to finally be able to share it — maybe there are some people out there who need it just as much as I did when I wrote it?!”

The release follows debut-album taster ‘Taxi’ last November, and comes ahead of a busy year for Storm, who has already toured and performed across Mexico, the UK, Argentina and Spain, appeared on major stages in Norway, and opened for labelmate AURORA. She was recently featured by Billboard Latin America following her first visit to Argentina, reaching over 200 million people across the publication’s social platforms, and has now been confirmed for Øya Festival this summer.
