Hard dance producer Shogun makes Basscon Records debut with “Bassline Generator”

Orange County-based Shogun has quickly become a name in US hard dance. Since emerging on California's underground scene in 2023, he's built a following for his blend of gabber, hardcore, industrial, and hard techno, selling out shows worldwide. Now, he makes his debut on Basscon Records with his new single, "BASSLINE GENERATOR."

"BASSLINE GENERATOR" is a high-voltage hardcore track built for festival and club crowds. The track runs at an unforgiving pace, featuring heavily distorted kicks, ravey hoover stabs, ominous synth riffs, zaag switch-ups, and layered vocal chops.

Shogun’s ascent up the hard dance ranks has been nothing short of cataclysmic. In 2025, he brought the scene to its knees with his breakout single “HARDCORE SOUND,” a synapse-twisting track that gained global notoriety after heavy rotation from industry giants Holy Priest, Nico Moreno, Vieze Asbak, its hype kicking into overdrive as soon as Dimitri Vegas and Nico Moreno gave it the coveted closing track status during their back-to-back set at Tomorrowland on the Library Stage. The momentum carried over into his follow-up offering "CAN YOU FEEL MY HEART," which has earned 3 million combined streams across platforms since January. His adrenalizing instincts are just as impactful in collaboration mode, as evidenced by the epic “GODSLAYER” single with ANOLUXX, with new outings alongside Lil Texas and Dionysus in the works. With demand nowhere near reaching a plateau, he unleashed wrath of apocalyptic proportions via his debut two-track EP, Angel of Death, the newest milestone added to his resume.

Shogun is wrapping up his Angel of Death Phase III World Tour, which included a sold-out headline show at 1720 LA and stops at AMPED, The Midway, Domicile, Redline, 9PM, Royale, Academy and Harbour Event Centre. The final leg marked his Australia and New Zealand debut, including sold-out stops in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Queenstown and Auckland.. He's also sold out headline shows in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Houston, and Tampa, and toured internationally across North America, Australia, New Zealand, Colombia, Europe, Japan, United Kingdom, and more. He’s wrapping up the international tour with a headline play in his hometown, closing things out with a bang at The Circle OC on September 19th.
