Henry Morris: Album “KISS ME EXTRA HARD” Out Oct 16th, European Tour Kicks off in November
Los Angeles singer-songwriter, producer and guitarist Henry Morris will join Artemas on the European and UK leg of the Getting Up To No Good Tour, playing 19 dates from Paris on November 12 to London’s O2 Academy Brixton on December 14. It follows the North American run, which opened in Vancouver on September 8 and is Morris’s largest tour to date. His new album Kiss Me Extra Hard is out October 16 via Giant Music.
Morris makes moody, cinematic pop that mixes vintage soul, dreamy Americana and modern alternative. His songs stay with the things people recognise in themselves and rarely say out loud: lust, loneliness, obsession, regret. He started out as one half of the indie duo Playyard, formed with his college roommate while he was, by his own account, grinding through an economics degree he was never built for. That same roommate, Saint Levant, later took him on two world tours as producer and collaborator, and Morris also worked on Saint Levant’s breakout “Jerusalem Freestyle”. In 2023 he dropped the Playyard name and went solo with “He Could Never Love You”, trading the duo’s sunnier sound for the darker one he’d been chasing. His debut album Jawbreaker followed in 2024.
“Crawling Back to You”, out now, is the latest single from Kiss Me Extra Hard. Written with Amy Kuney (Chappell Roan, Kelly Clarkson) and produced by Kevin White (BTS, Bazzi, Artemas), it’s about returning to someone you know you should leave. “I’ve looked for you in the eyes of other women across the world,” says Morris. “You used to wish I’d write songs about you and it’s funny ’cause now that you’re gone, they all are.”
“One Night Stand”, co-written and co-produced with Kevin White, looks at the quiet after a night that meant less than one of the two people hoped. “The part that always stays with me is the quiet loneliness after they’ve gone,” says Morris. “This song is about wishing there was love and meaning behind two lustful stars passing each other in the sky, meeting for a single night, and never again.” Both singles reflect the the emotionally unfiltered songwriting at the heart of his forthcoming album "Kiss Me Extra Hard".

Morris has passed 100 million catalogue streams since signing with Giant Music in April and now has 1.5 million monthly listeners. He has cosigns from Cigarettes After Sex, Saint Levant, Ross MacDonald of The 1975, Joe Jonas and Michael Bublé. “My Girlfriend” (feat. Ella Boh) and “One Night Stand” have passed 3 million streams between them, with support from Spotify’s New Music Friday, Official Charts and Clash.
