HHUNTER & Polarity lead Chicago's Hard Dance Scene with Mary Juana

Chicago-based HHUNTER returns with MARY JUANA , a new collaborative release with fellow rising hard techno artist Polarity and one of the strongest statements yet from the rapidly emerging ON THE HHUNT camp.

Following the momentum of Round Da Top and the most recent sold out ON THE HHUNT show at Cermak Hall, Mary Juana sees HHUNTER push further into the heavier side of his sound. Built across two distinct movements, the track channels pounding hard techno pressure, hypnotic rave tension and Latin-infused groove into a high-impact club weapon. Since being introduced into sets, the track has already been drawing strong early reactions for its physical energy, high-pressure pacing and rave-focused functionality.

The collaboration with fellow Chicago artist Polarity is a natural fit with both artists operating within the emerging wave of harder North American club music currently gaining traction internationally.

Whilst HHUNTER has been building ON THE HHUNT into one of the most talked-about grassroots hard dance platforms emerging from North America evolving across events and community, Polarity has quickly established himself in his own lane as well.

At just 23-years-old, Polarity has already gained support from artists including 999999999, I Hate Models, Nico Moreno, Nicolas Julian, Trym, Omaks and KXCHR, with tracks becoming regular weapons across clubs and festival stages globally. His breakout releases Get The Fxck Up and Amplifier helped fuel a massive rise throughout 2025, accumulating over 450k streams in the first year of the project alone.

Together, MARY JUANA feels representative of a wider shift currently happening across North America. Harder sounds being built from grassroots communities outward, with Chicago increasingly becoming one of the movement’s defining cities.

As a Hispanic artist shaped by, whilst actively shaping Chicago’s underground, HHUNTER continues to bring a distinct rhythmic identity into the harder dance space, blending Latin percussion influences with industrial textures and rave energy.

Over the past year, HHUNTER has steadily built momentum through a run of releases, editorial support and high-impact performances across venues including Radius Chicago, Avant Gardner New York and Factory Town Miami, alongside artists such as Sara Landry, Indira Paganotto and Nico Moreno.

MARY JUANA also marks an important next step for ON THE HHUNT itself, acting as one of the first releases to fully position the platform not just as an event series, but as a label and wider creative ecosystem.
