HI-LO and Space 92 reunite for new single ‘PEGASUS

Techno titans HI-LO and Space 92 unite again to unleash their latest sonic creation, "PEGASUS."

HI-LO, the techno alter ego of Dutch producer Oliver Heldens, brings his signature blend of dark and gritty beats to the table, while Space 92, the French techno maestro, adds his rhythmic textures and atmospheric layers to the original instrumental version of the track.

Upping the ante, Oliver Heldens introduces a sexy and sultry vibe with his Vocal Mix. The essence of the original remains intact as Heldens shows great finesse, weaving in a delicate vocal to contrast the pulsating rhythms and driving beats.

‘PEGASUS’ follows previous hit collaborations ‘Arpeggio,’ ‘Mercury,’ ‘GENESIS,’ and ‘ORION,’ which were supported by the likes of Adam Beyer, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, deadmau5, Eli Brown, Hardwell, Paul van Dyk, Steve Aoki and Tiësto, to name a few. Furthermore, ‘Mercury’ topped Beatport’s Techno chart for several months while reaching the top 10 on the overall chart.

‘PEGASUS (How We Know) (Oliver Heldens Vocal Mix)’ is available now via HILOMATIK.

About HI-LO

In just a few short years, Oliver Heldens successfully parlayed his career in mainstream dance music into a much-lauded alter-ego in the techno world as HI-LO, gaining widespread acceptance from the underground scene in the process. Making the most of an era when genre boundaries are less important or distinct than ever and younger generations cast aside the snobbery of old, the name HI-LO is now synonymous with cutting-edge, quality, hard-hitting, innovative techno. By 2020, his tracks ‘Zeus’ and ‘Kronos’ landed in the Top 10 most-played techno tracks of the year on 1001tracklists.com, making him the #1 most-supported producer platform-wide that year across all genres. His DJ sets as HI-LO has serenaded audiences at huge events like Ultra’s revered Resistance, Manchester’s Warehouse Project, Austin’s Seismic Dance Event, San Diego’s Proper NYE, plus prominent clubs in the techno scene like De Marktkantine in Amsterdam, Watergate in Berlin, E1 in London, Mondo in Madrid and Nitsa in Barcelona, plus numerous stand out performances on Drumcode and Filth on Acid label showcases across the globe.

Combining a big room sensibility with a dark, underground, raw edge, HI-LO has become a trusted tastemaker, with his tracks receiving massive support from luminaries of the scene, including Adam Beyer (who signed his ‘Hypnos,’ ‘Wanna Go Bang’ EPs and ‘CRESCENDO’ to his Drumcode label and invited him to remix his DJ Rush collab ‘Restore My Soul’), Reinier Zonneveld (with whom HI-LO released seven wildly creative collabs), Carl Cox, Solomun, Tale of Us, Anyma, Charlotte de Witte, Enrico Sangiuliano, Pan-Pot, Dubfire, Joseph Capriati, ANNA, AMELIE LENS, Joris Voorn, Robert Hood, Richie Hawtin, and countless other a-list acts. HI-LO was crowned the #1 best-selling and best-streaming techno artist over the last six months, according to Beatport. The next chapter in the HI-LO story was the January 2023 launch of HILOMATIK, a new label showcasing his productions alongside music from hot new talents and techno heroes that will further expand his musical manifesto. The imprint kicked off with the mighty ‘PURA VIDA’ from the man himself and has many exciting releases and party plans lined up in 2024.

A music industry legend, trailblazer, and currently one of the hottest DJs and producers on the underground electronic music scene...Green Velvet... came into existence more than 25 years ago. In 1993, Green Velvet launched Relief Records, and since that time, it has been a constant presence in the industry. When this very eccentric, green Mohawk-wearing Green Velvet emerged, he sent shock waves throughout the House and Techno music scenes. What was even more intriguing was his background. Born in the southern suburbs of Chicago, IL, he has always been an active athlete and focused student determined to follow his dream of becoming a chemical engineer. While he excelled scholastically, he was socially introverted but always committed to finding ways to share his enthusiasm for living. Even today, more than 25 years later...it is difficult to go to any electronic music festival or set and not hear music from Green Velvet/Relief Records. Crowds everywhere sing along when notable hits like ‘Bigger Than Prince,’ ‘Flash,’ ‘La La Land,’ ‘Lazer Beams,’ ‘Live Stream,’ ‘Preacher Man,’ ‘Shake and Pop,’ ‘Sheeple,’ ‘Suga,’ and ‘Voicemail,’ are blasting across the airwaves. Part of the history of Green Velvet and Relief Records is all about Love... Love of the music...Love of the fans...Love of other artists. The history of great releases on the label and artists speaks to this.
