Holding Absence to support AS IT IS!

Cardiff's fast rising alternative rockers HOLDING ABSENCE are showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. This morning the band confirmed that they will be supporting pop punk mainstays AS IT IS on tour throughout the UK and Europe in November/December 2018. Main support for all dates will be coming from St Albans quintet TRASH BOAT and Canada's finest young export COURAGE MY LOVE will be opening proceedings on each night.

HOLDING ABSENCE vocalist Lucas Woodland had the following to say about the newly announced dates: "We‘re super excited to be touring the UK & Europe with the awesome dudes in AS IT IS, TRASH BOAT & COURAGE MY LOVE this coming winter on »The Great Depression Tour«. Despite only having been a band since mid-2016, HOLDING ABSENCE have already managed to make a name for themselves within the ever developing UK rock scene. Signing to Sharptone Records within 6 months of their formation the band went on to have a fantastic year throughout 2017 releasing the 7" single 'Permanent/Dream Of Me' as well as stand along tracks 'Penance' and 'Heaven Knows'.

In their still burgeoning career the five piece have already performed alongside some of the UK's brightest young talent including LOATHE, CASEY, WSTR and BLOOD YOUTH among others as well as having supported veterans of both the UK and international rock landscape such as YOUNG GUNS and BEING AS AN OCEAN.

The band currently look set to make 2018 even better having already secured themselves a nomination for "Best UK Breakthrough Band" at the Heavy Music Awards as well as having a host of shows lined up across the summer including appearances at a number of notable UK festivals and an extensive European tour supporting BEING AS AN OCEAN in June.

HOLDING ABSENCE released their latest offering, a genre bending split EP with heavy hitters LOATHEtitled »This Is As One«, back in February and have been touring the UK and beyond in support ever since. »This Is As One« EP was recorded at G1 Productions in Wells UK, produced and mixed by George Lever.
