Hraefn release new album "CALL FOR BLOOD"

"This is our first release, apart from a single that came out last month. We have been only playing together for a year now and all our experience in small underground projects made the three of us a perfect fit.

Our album stands out by its classic no-nonsense heavy guitar trio approach and features elements of heavy metal, doom metal and maybe even grunge. Some have referred to it as doom rock. That might be rather accurate. Straightforward drumming, fierce and inventive guitar riffs and funky, propelling bass lines are clearly meant to pack a punch. And still, it is all about the melodies! The clean vocals are very much sung by the heart, with a pretty wide vocal range.

FOSSILIZED starts off pretty up-tempo, but then all of a sudden the verse goes into a very doomy mood, and then the wide-open chorus pulls everything back together again, before dropping you down the bridge, which features a nice, heavy instrumental merry-go-around.

PARASITE has a crazy, doomy guitar lick with a progressive feel, and fierce, resentful lyrics sung with anguish and despair.

EVIL is a fierce masterpiece with a thrash metal feel. it grabs you by the throat and the grip becomes tighter and tighter until the final chorus bursts lose. Without is another groovy and crunchy rocker with a paranoid vibe, and some catchy drum breaks. "Pain is inevitable, to suffer is your choice". Well, that might be the truth!"
