Hungary’s Agregator release new EP "Elízium"

Hungarian melodic death metal band Agregator have released Elízium, a four-track EP rooted in a darker reading of the ancient Greek idea of Elysium.

Traditionally described as a peaceful afterlife for heroes and those favoured by the gods, Elysium is reimagined here as a place marked by fury, decay and private struggle. Across the EP, Agregator pair melodic death metal riffs with darker atmospheres and Hungarian-language lyrics that look at loss, temptation, memory and the parts of oneself that are difficult to leave behind.

Formed in Hungary, Agregator have developed their sound through sombre melody, heaviness and lyrics in their native language. Elízium follows the band’s 2024 line-up change and precedes their next full-length album, Por és hamu, expected in 2027.
