Friday In California releases "The Red Room" (Hard Rock from UK)

UK hard rock trio Friday In California continue pushing their debut EP The Red Room ahead of new material and upcoming live activity planned for later this year.

Originally released in November 2024 through Nil By Mouth Records, The Red Room introduced the band with six tracks rooted in classic hard rock while keeping a more modern edge in the songwriting and production. Built around loud guitars, driving rhythms and direct hooks, the EP carries influences from bands such as Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne without sounding trapped in nostalgia.

The band features David Thompson on vocals, Chris O'Sullivan on guitars and bass, and Ben Easson on drums. Keeping things to a stripped-back three-piece line-up, Friday In California focus on raw energy and straightforward rock songwriting.

Tracks such as “Take It Back”, “PRETTY / SCARY”, “Show Me Your Teeth” and “Overlord” move between heavier riffs, melodic choruses and more aggressive moments, giving the EP a balance between hard rock swagger and modern alternative weight.

Recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Steve Hoggart at 27D Music Productions, The Red Room marked the band’s first release and set the groundwork for the next stage of the project, with a new single planned for August 2026 and another EP currently in preparation.
