I’m Not a Blonde - The New Album "11 (The Art Of Being A Couple)" OUT NOW
Italian-American electropop duo I’m Not a Blonde are releasing their new album, “11 (The Art of Being a Couple)”, today via INRI Records. Eleven tracks that weave together the personal and artistic journey of Chiara Castello and Camilla Benedini, where love and creativity mirror one another.
Two parallel lines. Two voices, two languages, a constant balance between closeness and distance.
The title comes from a simple, inverted idea. “We often think of love as a sum — 11=2, a fusion that erases boundaries,” explain I’m Not a Blonde. “In ‘11’ that sum becomes a symbol: 11=11, two complete individuals who choose every day to walk side by side. Not to merge, but to support each other, to mirror each other without losing shape.”

Conceptually, the album moves like a living relationship. It travels through falling in love, fusion, crisis, individual search and rediscovery: each track is a fragment of life as a couple, a chapter in an evolution that doesn’t look for answers but listens to them.
Preceded by the singles “To Fall”, “Hip Hop In The Fog”, “Scegli Me” feat. Rachele Bastreghi (Baustelle) and “Questa Lingua”, the album turns the alternation between Italian and English into a signature trait. The two languages coexist, answer each other, interrupt each other — mirroring the shifting dynamics of a relationship and the nuances of an inner dialogue that never stops transforming.
The album's sound reflects the same balance. Layered synths and tight rhythms sit alongside more intimate, suspended spaces; moments of near-danceable energy alternate with melancholic passages. A refined, minimalist sound built on repeated patterns, arpeggiators and steady rhythms - often inspired by the ’80s and ’90s - that create a subtle but constant sense of movement.
It’s a record of contrasts: strength and fragility, irony and vulnerability, light and shadow. Each song moves along the thin line that both separates and unites — the one that, in a couple as in a composition, holds two individualities together without flattening either of them.

I’m Not a Blonde is an Italian-American duo based in Milan, consisting of Chiara Castello and Camilla Benedini. Their elegant electropop - featuring ’80s-style synths and beats, ’90s Brit-wave guitars, and sharp pop melodies - strikes a perfect balance between the two personalities: irony and madness, fun and seriousness, minimalism and artpop, digital and analogue.
