Jaguero present “Hold Me Close / Monday”, a double single that anticipates the release of their debut full-length “Make Me Feel Alive Again” and immediately brings into focus the two souls coexisting within the band: one more direct, visceral and urgent, the other more intimate, fragile and reflective.

“Hold Me Close” stems from the tension of a society that seems to accept only “top of the class” performers, enforcing an idea of success that leaves many with the constant feeling of always being one step behind. The song attempts to overturn this pressure, bringing back to the center what truly matters: relationships and the impact people have on our growth. It is an outburst, but also a moment of awareness — recognizing that it is possible to feel okay even within fragility, without having to prove anything.

“Monday” moves instead into a more intimate register, almost like a ballad. It tells the story of the steady presence we choose to offer to those who truly matter to us, despite fatigue, misunderstandings, and those days that weigh like an endless Monday. It’s the idea that even the hardest moments can be faced and overcome, breathed through until they slowly slip away — like a “Blue Monday” that, no matter how grey, inevitably passes.

Together, “Hold Me Close” and “Monday” reveal both the most straightforward and the most vulnerable sides of Jaguero: two complementary poles that continue to define the band’s identity and find full expression in the journey toward Make Me Feel Alive Again.

Jaguero are a punk/emo band from Vicenza, Italy, formed in 2021 by members of Slander, Regarde, and La Fortuna.

Following the EPs Worst Weekend Ever (2022) and New Love (2023), produced by Maurizio Baggio at La Distilleria and released by Epidemic Records, the tracks were later collected on a limited-edition self-titled vinyl. With this release, the band performed at several notable festivals and shows in Italy and abroad.

In 2026, Jaguero will release their debut full-length “Make Me Feel Alive Again” via Anchors Aweigh Records (scheduled for April 10), an album in which they explore the most visceral side of their emotions, leaving behind any genre boundaries to simply play what feels most right to them. Their sound blends energy, melody, and emotional intensity, rooted in punk and grunge while preserving the authentic spirit of small clubs, where connection and participation matter more than anything else.
