Jaime Rosso shares new single "Speak"
Last month, Jaime Rosso announced his excellent new EP Keep Stepping! would be released on September 11th and shared the joyous “Walk” from the record. Today, Rosso, is pleased to unveil the second song from Keep Stepping!, entitled “Speak”, it’s a percussive and bass-driven call to action on standing up for yourself as Rosso declares: “Something’s gotta give / Something’s gotta go.”

Talking about the song, Rosso says: “Being an introvert by nature, I have a tendency to sit with my thoughts rather than say them out loud. ‘Speak’ was born out of this habit. It’s a reminder to shake off your inhibitions, put the feeling to words, and use your voice.”
The video for “Speak” is directed by Rosso and is another great clip by him, following up with the characters from the “Walk” video.
Keep Stepping! EP takes inspiration from London’s soundsystem sonics with Rosso mixing in bright melodies and dreamlike atmospherics to create a sound of his own. Much like the hum of the capital, there is an underlying groove that flows through it, whilst Jaime’s playful production keeps the music sounding buoyant and fresh. Influenced by the exuberant atmosphere of summer in the city, Keep Stepping! embraces positivity and the importance of getting out of your own head and engaging with the community around you.
Jaime Rosso is a Margate-based electronic artist and producer who makes music that is experimental and groove-heavy, rooted in his love of UK soundsystem culture. His debut single “Away” was likened by Clash “to an old Moodymann mix” and praised by The New Cue for its “thoughtful, introspective core”. He’s also supported the likes of Eris Drew, Marshall Jefferson and Awesome Tapes From Africa, cementing himself as an artist to watch on the UK dance scene.
One of the founding members of Social Records Society and the Bis Bis Bis nights at Margate Arts Club. Jaime’s music blurs nostalgia, his clubland influences and his own voice through a sample-heavy, psychedelic lens. Reflective of his optimistic disposition, it’s the kind of left-field pop that’s instantly memorable, always keeping one foot on the dancefloor.
