Jungle By Night announces new album "Synery", out on 13 September

Jungle by Night announces a new album that is surprising in many ways. The first taste is the single 'Oog Om Oog', a collaboration with one of the Netherlands' most esteemed songwriters, Spinvis. It is a sincere ode to love and pizza delivery drivers. The track was recorded live in the studio, making 'Oog Om Oog' feel as musically vibrant as its lyrics. 'Synergy' is the Dutch band's seventh album and will be released on September 13 via V2 Records.

During their 15-year musical journey, Jungle by Night has always known that their music is not about individual talent but about the combination of all the elements the members bring. This understanding led to the theme of their seventh album, ‘Synergy’.

With the mantra "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts" in mind, Jungle by Night set out on a mission to create an album where all instruments were recorded live simultaneously as much as possible, to capture the optimal energy between the musicians. Their own studio in Amsterdam Noord offered many possibilities in this respect. To take it a step further, they opened the doors of that studio and invited a number of vocalists, resulting in a diverse and surprising outcome. Spinvis, Sef, Merol, Pitou, and Meral Polat make appearances on the album, each bringing their own unique style to the mix.

The single ‘Oog Om Oog’ with Spinvis is the first to be released and immediately piques curiosity about the other collaborations on this album.

Jungle by Night is a collective of seven Dutch boys who together create music both live and on record. The Amsterdam band's music features drums, bass, guitar, percussion, and synths, complemented by trumpet and trombone. From the more brass-focused earlier albums to a stronger focus on electronic groove on ‘Synergy’, they boldly go where no band has gone before. Always seeking experimentation, they now find themselves in a golden zone where they have crafted their own unique style from analog dance music, nu-disco, Krautrock, 70's funk, and 80's electro.

Recorded in their beloved studio in Amsterdam Noord, ‘Synergy’ captures the essence of Jungle by Night's creative spirit. Here, imperfection is embraced, and spontaneity reigns. Jungle by Night can be seen this summer at Wilde Weide, North Sea Jazz, Lowlands, and Into The Great Wide Open. The album release will be celebrated with two nights in the Great Hall of Paradiso on September 12 and 13.
