Jungstötter releases Debut album 'Love Is' on 17 May

Jungstötter is the moniker of singer Fabian Altstötter. As an adolescent in the tranquility of small-town Germany, he founded the critically-acclaimed band Sizarr at a young age, with whom he released two records. With his solo project, which Altstötter ironically mentions as named Jungstötter, he commutes between the heaviness of Bad Seeds, the nightmarish songland landscapes of Scott Walker, and the tenderness of Mark Hollis.

"Wound Wrapped In Song" is the name of the first single from his solo debut album "Love Is", which will be released on 17 May 2019 on [PIAS] Recordings.

"Nicolas Fehr, the creator of the video, is a diploma media artist and even a musician. The concept of the music video goes back to a scene from Fehr's video installation "Bululú", which he presented in the spring of 2018. The main inspirations here were the idea of the magical realism of Gabriel García Márquez and the unvarnished, documentary-like aesthetics of Ulrich Seidl. ",explains Fabian the idea behind the video.

Jungstötter discovers a music which builds his own house next to the heritage of the artists mentioned above. And he’s not the only occupant in this house:

In addition to the album producer Max Rieger (Die Nerven, All diese Gewalt), he has formed a band consisting of his childhood friend Philipp Hülsenbeck and Manu Chittka (Kreidler, Pantha du Prince), a band that potentiates the organic of the subtle songs through their intimate interaction.
