Junoplast Cave Turns the Forest into a Rock Stage with the Audiovisual Project “Live in Amazonia”

The Brazilian band Junoplast Cave presents the audiovisual project “Live in Amazonia,” an immersive experience that brings together original music, live performance, and the symbolic power of the largest tropical rainforest on the planet. Formed in 2019 by Matheus Brevis (vocals and synthesizers), Ruann Magno (guitar, backing vocals and synthesizers), Arthur Cunha (bass, backing vocals and synthesizers), and Daniel Pinheiro (drums), Junoplast Cave has been building an intense and provocative sonic identity. Inspired by artists such as Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, and Nine Inch Nails, the band blends visceral screams, futuristic guitar tones, dense layers of synthesizers, and striking riffs, creating a sound that is both aggressive and atmospheric.

Their first official release came in 2020 with the EP How to Stop Bad Thoughts, introducing audiences to lyrics that delve into themes such as anxiety, emotional conflicts, and the tensions of everyday life — all framed within a raw and contemporary sonic aesthetic.

Now, as they prepare their next release, Junoplast Cave has chosen to unveil part of their new material in an unconventional way. On their official VEVO YouTube channel, the band has been sharing “Live in Amazonia”: live performances of unreleased songs recorded at sunrise, deep in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, with the members performing on a floating raft.

The natural setting is not merely a backdrop — it is a protagonist. The morning mist, the organic sounds of the forest, and the light emerging through the trees create a unique atmosphere that both contrasts with and complements the band’s dense sonic textures.
