In the past year KARA DELIK have been making waves with the release of four EPs, with the latest dropping just December 2023. The band's unique sound blending Anatolian influences, post-punk and new-wave elements has garnered widespread acclaim for its dynamic poly-rhythmic psych-grooves. As KARA DELIK continues to captivate audiences with their mesmerizing live energy, we are thrilled to announce that the band is gearing up for an extensive European tour. This promises to be an unforgettable experience, showcasing their galactic panache for otherworldly effects.

The Anatolian post-punk Kraut-Welle psych-dub sounds of Kara Delik is rooted in the history of Anatolian rock, Neue Deutsche Welle and dub all delivered with a zesty post-punk explosive live punch.

Live, the band’s sharp dynamics, tight instrumentation, and spirited performances have won them a diverse following of those who love post-punk, dance music, and Turkish melodics.

To date, they have appeared on festival line-ups across the continent, including: Void Fest, Platzhirsch Festival, Fusion, Entropie, Garbicz and Grauzone, and have played support for the likes of Minami Deutsch, Tropical Fuck Storm, Squid, Derya Yildirim & Grup Şimşek and 10000 Russos.

The international trio of Barış Öner [Istanbul Ghetto Club] on saz, Andi Sommer [Henry Fonda, Yacht Communism] on bass and synths and drummer Eilis Frawley [Anika, Laura Lee & The Jettes] interweave energetic complex rhythms soundscapes and effects creating an industrious post-punk melee of Anatolian heat. Founded in 2020 KARA DELIK first exploded onto the Berlin scene with their debut EP 'Tamam' before taking their sounds across the continent, later rewarding fans with four EPs entitled 'Singularities'. Having played across the continent, appearing at multiple festivals and with an album in the pipeline no-one is safe from being pulled in the music vortex of KARA DELIK.
