Kidoo Makes His Factory 93 Records Debut With Three-Track “Beat Boyz” EP

Romanian producer and underground club mainstay Kidoo makes his debut on Factory 93 Records with his new three-track ‘Beat Boyz’ EP, a tightly constructed collection of minimal and deep tech productions.

The EP opens with its title track, “Beat Boyz,” a minimal tech roller driven by weighty low-end, tightly programmed drums, and a persistent groove. G-coded West Coast rap lyricism loops through the track alongside squelchy acid textures and muttering vocal elements, creating a hypnotic combination of stripped-back percussion and gritty sonic detail.

“Nusco” and “Spin” round out the three-tracker, continuing Kidoo’s focus on movement, groove, and low-end pressure. Drawing from the sounds and club culture of his home country, all three productions were developed with the dancefloor at the forefront and have been tested across his sets for months.

“This release came naturally. It’s always been an instinct of mine to create bouncy tracks with powerful basslines. I’ve found that a good kitchen counter, a portable speaker, and a set of headphones often create better tracks than a professional studio.” – Kidoo

Based in Cluj-Napoca, Kidoo has been learning how to read a room and adapt behind the decks since he first began playing in Romania’s club circuit at just 12-years-old. More than a decade later, that instinct continues to shape his approach in the studio. The 'Beat Boyz' EP follows a prolific run of releases from Kidoo dating back to 2018, including his collaboration “Mezcal Bounce” with SOSA, which has surpassed 1.22 million streams and reached the No. 1 position on Beatport’s Minimal / Deep Tech Hype chart. His productions have also earned support and recognition from leading names across the underground, including Pawsa, Dennis Cruz, Michael Bibi, Jamie Jones, Mochakk, Luciano, Marco Carola, and The Martinez Brothers.

Kidoo’s growing international profile has also brought a steady run of high-profile performances. He recently made his Space Miami Terrace debut in support of Joseph Capriati and is set to perform at Hocus Pocus at Factory Town, as well as TRMNL Summer Street Party. In November, he will join Carl Cox for headline support dates at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles and Radius Chicago, alongside upcoming headline appearances at HAMA SAKÉ Beach Club and Vertigo Toronto.

ABOUT FACTORY 93:

Factory 93 explores the intersection of untethered creativity and bold self-expression, while never taking its finger off the pulse of the underground. When Insomniac broke out its figurative bolt cutters to dismantle the lock on the warehouse scene and return to its roots, it retold the story of its origins in hosting historic parties in the streets of Los Angeles. It also gave birth to a movement where discerning heads are living on the frontlines of celebrating radical ideas through the fusion of immersive live art, cutting-edge technology, and exceptionally curated house and techno. That vision continues to hold the same ground, even as the brand has grown and extends beyond the Downtown Los Angeles warehouse district, where it was originally conceived. Whether it’s at an intimate warehouse space or on a festival dancefloor, Factory 93 manufactures moments that make this culture one we’re proud to call our own. Since launching its own dedicated label arm, the burgeoning imprint has opened its catalog to a head-turning list of established artists and rising talent, such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Victor Ruiz, Eli Brown, BEC, Avision, Josh Butler, Township Rebellion, OC & Verde, Oscar L, and many more.
