Kiefer Sutherland New Album ‘Grey’ Is Out Now
Kiefer Sutherland today releases his fourth album ‘Grey’ via Maple Creek Records. It features the new focus track ‘American Farmer’.
‘Grey’ continues Kiefer’s excursions in the country, Americana and folk genres, with lyrics primarily informed by personal feelings that he has been navigating in his own life. The ten-track album has been previewed by the singles ‘Simpler Time’ and ‘Goodbye California’.
Kiefer says, “To begin, I want to express how happy and excited I am to be releasing my fourth album, ‘Grey’. The songs were written and recorded over a two-year period from 2024 to 2026. In many ways these songs mark a growth for me personally, as I wrote less about observations and more about personal feelings that I have been navigating in my own life.”
Going deeper into the country world than the album’s previous singles, the focus track ‘American Farmer’ taps into the experiences and challenges of the hard-working farming community across North America. Kiefer wrote the song with its producer Ethan Johns.
Kiefer adds, “This song chronicles the increasing struggle of the independent American farmer."
In addition to Ethan Johns, ‘Grey’ features production from Rocco DeLuca and Mark Neill. Kiefer wrote or co-wrote nine songs on the album, which is completed by his take on Merle Haggard’s ‘The Bottle Let Me Down’.
