Komodo releases new single and announces album & tour
On Friday January 28th, Komodo releases their new single 'Push & Pull'. The track sounds like a psychedelic indie-rock party in the dark alleys of Havana. However, this single is not the only good news! With this single release, the band announces the release of their sophomore album 'Barbarians', which will be released on March 4th. The band will also start their Dutch clubtour that month.
Komodo makes Vintage Exotic Rock ’n’ Roll. Injected with magic spells from all over the world, it’s a special brew designed to make you dance all night and day. Psycheledic rock, mixed with desert blues, surf rock, afro-disco, rumba and Indian raga. Komodo brings non-western sounds & rhythms, unexpected instruments and a killer high-energy live-show. A little bit weird, a little bit gritty, but the melodies will get stuck in your head for days. After the release of their debut album in 2019, Komodo played some prestigious festivals like Noorderslag and Gransnapolsky in their home country of The Netherlands. They also played at famous French festivals Transmusicales de Rennes and Printemps de Bourges. They recently released two singles 'Lost Kids' and 'Easy Prey', which became hits on Dutch radio and got a lot of (international) media coverage.
'Push & Pull' sounds like a collaboration between The Black Keys and Carlos Santana, in which psychedelic indie-rock gets combined with Latin-influences. Their new album 'Barbarians' will be released on March 4th 2022. It's a collection of psychedelic indie-rock songs with surprising instruments, exotic influences and magical spells from over the entire globe and is entirely made to dance to all night long. Komodo will be going on a Dutch clubtour in March and April, with 7 shows in some of the most prestigious venues of The Netherlands.
