KOMPROMAT launches new single 'Lift Me Up'

KOMPROMAT is the alliance of Vitalic and Rebeka Warrior (Sexy Sushi, Mansfield.TYA). Their first album Traum und Existenz, released in 2019 on Clivage Music (Vitalic’s own label), laid the groundwork for a dark, hard-hitting universe. In January 2025, they will return with PLДYING / PRДYING on Warriorecords, the label founded by Rebeka Warrior. This new record delves into the themes of prayer (be it pagan or not), funeral rites, passages between worlds, as well as the pleasures of the flesh, of dancing and ecstasy — akin to a divine invocation through music.

After the release of first single I LET MYSELF GO BLIND, Kompromat releases a new single today, LIFT ME UP. This second extract, with its new wave ascension, confirms the return of the duo.

On the album genres collide : EBM, Cold Wave, New Wave and radical techno. The duo revels in blurring boundaries. While German lyrics accompanied their first album, their new narratives will be channeled in English.

The record also conjures up voices from the band’s close circle : those of Vimala Pons and Sonia DeVille resound like echoes from other worlds. I DID NOT FORGET YOU, written with Rahim Redcar (formerly Christine and the Queens), resonates as a universal take on loss and remembrance. A longer, highly hypnotic track featuring London-based artist Farah, GOD IS ON MY SIDE exudes a form of trance, an invitation to drift towards the beyond.

KOMPROMAT will be touring in France and Europe, with an Olympia in April (sold out in 24 hours) and a date in Brussels in April at Halle de Schaerbeek
