KPop Demon Hunters is the most viewed film ever on Netflix, with soundtrack peaking in charts
KPop Demon Hunters, an animated musical, is the most viewed film of all time on Netflix, the streaming service has announced. It only took the film two months to break the record. The movie has been viewed more than 236 million times.
The movie is accompagnied by a soundtrack, that is also very successful. For the first time, four songs from a soundtrack simultaneously entered the top 10 of the American “Billboard Hot 100” chart. “Golden” by Huntr/x even reached number 1 in the chart. The band Saja Boys from the film reached number 8 with “Your Idol”. In Belgium "Golden" reached #6 in Daily Top Songs on Spotify, #7 in Daily Viral Songs, #8 in Weekly Top Songs and #15 in Daily Top Artists. The track is at #22 in the Shazam charts in Belgium. The album peaked at #1 in the Ultratop Albums Vlaanderen.
The film is also doing extremely well in the top 50 of the “Spotify Top 50 - Global”. No fewer than five songs are in the top 10, with “Golden” having been in first place for several weeks. Both Huntr/x and Saja Boys are the highest-ranked female and male K-pop groups ever in the Spotify charts.
