Krissy Matthews Signs Worldwide with Eat Music

Eat Music is thrilled to announce the signing of Krissy Matthews to a worldwide representation deal. The British-Norwegian Blues Rock guitarist is one of the most distinctive and compelling artists to emerge from the international Blues scene in years, and we could not be more excited to welcome him to the Eat Music family.

The story begins in 1995, when a three-year-old Krissy was invited on stage by his father to play along to Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman. Nobody in that room could have predicted what would follow.

Now 33, Krissy has spent more than two decades building a career that reads like a Blues lover's dream. At 12 he performed with John Mayall, the Godfather of British Blues, sharing an amp with Peter Green. At 15, BB King personally took him under his wing, and shortly afterwards Krissy became the last musician to share a stage with the late, great Jeff Healey in the UK. Few guitarists anywhere in the world can point to a backstory quite like it.

Since 2015 he has been a permanent featured member of the iconic Hamburg Blues Band, night after night backing legends including Chris Farlowe, Arthur Brown, Stoppok, Inga Rumpf and Maggie Bell, stepping into shoes previously filled by Clem Clempson (Humble Pie / Colosseum) and Miller Anderson (Keef Hartley / Spencer Davis)

Over thousands of concerts across the UK, Europe, China and Russia he has shared stages with Toto, Gregg Allman, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Joe Bonamassa, Joe Satriani, Beth Hart, Jimmie Vaughan and Los Lobos, among many others. In March 2019 he performed with his trio at the celebrated Rockpalast Festival, broadcast live on German national TV by WDR.

For a decade, from 2013 to 2023, his writing partner was Pete Brown, the poet behind Cream classics Sunshine of Your Love, White Room and Politician, once described as the unofficial fourth member of the band.

Signed to Ruf Records, Krissy has released multiple acclaimed albums, most recently "Rock And Roll Soldier" (April 2026) with his Norwegian trio The Vikings. He is currently on the road across Germany, Austria and Switzerland with his GUITARMANIA 2026 touring showcase, bringing together six of the finest Blues and Rock guitarists from across the globe.

"We’re very excited to have Krissy on board worldwide from now on. He brings talent, ambition, and experience — exactly the right mix for the next step in the international touring business. Let’s go!" - Hendrik Wippermann, CEO Eat Music

“Having Krissy Matthews at EAT MUSIC is a real highlight for us. We'd had our eye on him for a while, but one night during his last tour, the spark really ignited. What he brings to the stage is simply extraordinary. His energy, both on and off stage, is truly impressive!” – Torben Meyer, Senior International Talent Agent

"Personally, I have always wanted to be a part of the Eat Music family. I feel like they are the best team to push my career to the next level. We are on the same page in every way. I am very excited for a bright future with my new team in Hendrik, Torben, Lea and Ellie. Team work makes the dream work and together we will take over the world!" - Krissy Matthews

Krissy Matthews is a genuine force of nature, and we at Eat Music are proud to be part of the next chapter.
