“This is the first time I wrote from someone else’s perspective rather than my own. A dear friend of mine was dealing with a relationship that reminded me of one I had years prior so I wrote the words to sort of help both of us heal. With that being said, I still feel like it’s the most honest I’ve been with lyrics up to this point and I’m very hopeful that others will relate deeply to the feeling of betrayal and frenzy that we felt.”
