Landscape Of Zeroes to present Totemic Suite, Live In Milan

Totemic Suite, Live In Milan is the first live album by progressive/experimental metal quartet Landscape Of Zeroes. Recorded in January, 2018 at Legend Club di Milano, the album portraits the band’s performance at Kind Of Black release party. Their debut album has been played in its entirety, including some covers displaying the band’s heterogeneous influences. The result is an impressive suite that depicts a broad view about the band’s aims and abilities.

From Bach to Metallica, from Mahler to Miles Davis, all the music that contributed to shape the identity of Landscape Of Zeroes converge in a multicolor show, switching between many moments and feelings. There is no shortage of surprises in the band’s original compositions that show a bizarre appeal mixing progressive, fusion and metal. The latter is also considered in its extreme forms: notice the lack of clean vocals, replaced by the Schuldiner-like screaming of Samuele Boni. The long-lasting final piece “Totemic Beast” combines every side of L.o.Z.’s multifaced sound: it is ambitious, nonetheless based on clear ideas and great musicianship.

The band comment: “Totemic Suite, Live in Milan crystallizes a prosperous moment for us as a band. In the last months we’ve released Kind of Black and then played it in its entirety during a great gig, audience-wise and band-wise. It’s been a challenge to record a live album, because we know that music needs to stay a-live, it needs to breathe, therefore it should be played on stage, in front of people and for people.

Totemic Suite, Live in Milan has been recorded at Legend Club ( Milan ) and edited by Marco Berardi at Chirinquito Records (Busto Arsizio, Milan). Mastering by Maurizio Giannotti at Newmastering – High-End Audio Mastering (Milano). The album has been released on December 1, 2018 by ASSIM (Associazione Italiana Musicisti).
