Billed as The Comeback of the Year by many, James Arthur has had quite an extraordinary 2016. James released Say You Won’t Let Go, his first single in over 2 years, in September and it shot straight to #1 on the Official Singles Chart (UK) where it stayed for 3 weeks and has gone onto sell over 1 million copies. The single also hit the top spot on the radio airplay chart. His second album Back From The Edge followed shortly after and saw him pick up his first #1 on the Official Albums Chart.

Whilst 2016 might sound hard to beat, James is already laying the foundations for another successful year. He announces that his new single will be Safe Inside, a heartfelt and honest song about watching someone you care for grow into their own person. Inspired by his relationship with his sister, the track features a fantastic vocal performance from James, accompanied by beautiful strings and an unforgettable chorus. As a treat to his loyal fans who have supported him and his incredible comeback.

Speaking of his year and Safe Inside, James said: ‘I can’t believe what a year it’s been. I want to say thanks to all the people that played a part and believed in me. I’m looking forward to 2017 and pleased to confirm that Safe Inside will be my next single. Safe Inside is one of the most personal tracks on the album and touches on the relationship between myself and my sister.’
