Lola Young Announces Her New Album ‘This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway’

South London singer/songwriter Lola Young announces her brand new album, This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway, set for release on 21st June. Lola shares her new single, ‘Messy’, to celebrate her upcoming record.

Depicting a tumultuous relationship, ‘Messy’ boasts an abundance of witty one-liners perfectly served by Lola. Already gaining popularity amongst Lola’s fans on socials, the new single launches as Jack Saunders’ ‘Hottest Record’ on his BBC Radio 1 show and showcases a fresh attitude and an alternative-leaning sound explored throughout Lola’s upcoming album, which follows her 2023 project, My Mind Wanders and Sometimes Leaves Completely.

Recorded in LA and produced by friend and collaborator Solomonophic (Remi Wolf, BROCKHAMPTON, Dominic Fike), This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway is a multi-faceted, fearless concept.
