London-based duo LuxJury release album ' giving up'

London-based duo LuxJury may have only just begun, but they are already being tipped as one to watch, something they confirmed with a performance at ESNS in January. Their soulful indie rock feels equally at home in a gritty London bar as it does on a road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway. The duo is led by vocalist and guitarist Nicole “Lux” Fermie, alongside drummer Howey Gill.

A central theme on the album is Lux’s coming out. Across the record, she reflects on coming out later in life and how it helped many pieces of the puzzle fall into place. On the surface, many of the songs on Giving Up explore romantic relationships, their joyful beginnings and heartbreaking lows, but beneath that lies a deeper journey of self-discovery and uncovering the true meaning of identity.
