Lords Of Acid - 'Ich Will Nur Das' : new single by pioneering electronic dance act out 11th September 2026 (Metropolis Records) | included on 'Mundo Bizarro' album available from 15th October

The pioneering electronic dance act Lords of Acid have released their fourth single of 2026 today on Metropolis Records. Entitled ‘Ich Will Nur Das’ (I Just Want), the frenetic floorfiller features a vocal by US electronic musician and singer Mari Kattman that is sung entirely in German.

Lords of Acid founder Praga Khan describes the track as “basically a love song with a serious identity crisis. The verses are pure lust: hot, dirty, aggressive and completely unapologetic. Then the chorus suddenly turns into the romantic fantasy of a lovestruck teenager dreaming about eternal love.”

Kattman is a Metropolis Records labelmate and non-German speaker who has been touring in her own right to promote a recent solo album, ‘Year Of The Katt’. “She was perfect for this song, as it is incredibly charming to hear her American voice attack these German lyrics,” insists Khan. “We didn’t want her pronunciation to be too polished or perfect, as her accent gives the track extra personality. She also understood the contradiction at the heart of the song: one minute she sounds like she wants to devour you, the next she’s dreaming about everlasting love. It’s filthy and innocent at the same time, which is pretty much Lords of Acid in a nutshell.”

‘Ich Will Nur Das’ follows the previously released ‘Karaoke Superstar’ (featuring Princess Superstar) STREAM VIDEO, ‘Dream Boy’ (featuring Carla Harvey, the reigning 'Acid Queen’) STREAM VIDEO and ‘El Mundo Está Loco’ (featuring Tony & The Kiki) STREAM. All four songs are included on ‘Mundo Bizarro’, a new Lords of Acid album that will be available to stream from 15th October to coincide with Part 2 of the group’s ‘Cheeky Freaky' US tour, which commences that day. LP, CD and digital download formats will follow on 6th November.

LORDS OF ACID biography

Formed in Antwerp, Belgium in 1988, Lords of Acid are recognised as one of the most influential acts to emerge from the hard-edged electronic dance music scene of that era. Adopting and adapting underground club culture aesthetics fom the off, they blended techno, acid house and industrial music with provocative lyrics on themes of sexuality, drug use and hedonism. Debuting with the classic New Beat single ‘I Sit On Acid’, their debut album ‘Lust’ appeared in 1991 and was followed periodically by further releases that saw the group become a staple of the Billboard dance and alternative charts. Having built a substantial global following while maintaining a multi-decade touring career, Lords of Acid remain one of their genre’s most recognisable and enduring names.
