Lost Frequencies to release album “Less is More” on 21 October

Things are moving pretty fast for the Belgian artist Lost Frequencies, that’s for sure. The hit “Are You With Me” instantly catapulted the young Felix De Laet to worldwide fame. From Australia and Germany to Austria and Switzerland, to Finland, Norway and Spain: everyone can sing along to “I wanna dance by water 'neath the Mexican sky. Drink some Margaritas by a string of blue lights”. In the UK, Lost Frequencies even became the very first Belgian to reach number 1 in the official British charts.

With “Reality” Lost Frequencies proved that he's not just a one hit wonder. Even in Japan, the song is constantly on the radio. And his third song “Beautiful Life” also immediately landed him a place on the Ultratop. That's another record to add to his list, because his first three singles went directly to number 1 in the Belgian charts. “That has never happened before with a Belgian artist,” points out Sam Jaspers, General Manager of Ultratop. So there you have it, Lost Frequencies sets another amazing Ultratop record after already receiving the Ultratop Streaming Award earlier this year.

After a sold-out concert at the AB in May, Lost Frequencies had a packed schedule this summer, with national and international tours. He hosted his own stage at Tomorrowland and joined the line-up at festivals such as Rock Werchter, Lokerse Feesten and Brussels Summer Festival. Internationally, he showed up at Coachella in the United States, at Tomorrowland Brazil and at Lollapalooza in both Berlin and Colombia. During the summer months, Ibiza was like a second home to him, with dozens of appearances behind the turntables of the hallowed DJ booth at Ushuaïa, alongside top DJs such as Avicii, Axwell Λ Ingrosso.

Two years after taking the world by storm, Lost Frequencies now has his first album ready for release. “Less Is More” is a beautiful jewel of an album featuring 16 dreamy, melodic tracks.

On “Less Is More”, of course you’ll also find the hits “Beautiful Life”, “Are You With Me” and “Reality”, but also the latest single “What is Love”. For this single, Lost Frequencies rediscovered an “old” hit, the international chart-topper by Haddaway from 1993, the year in which Felix De Laet was born. No doubt, with his version of “What is Love” 23 years later, Lost Frequencies will conquer the global charts all over again.

Less Is More are three words that perfectly describe both the album and the artist. The songs sound like the sunset over a deserted beach, or the first gentle rain drops after a steamy summer’s day. Don't expect to hear pumping party music, with lots of fireworks and hard beats, but rather, soft, warm tones and melodic refrains. Less Is More...
