Milan Records releases LURKER (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) featuring music by GRAMMY-nominated producer, engineer and songwriter KENNETH BLUME (FKA KENNY BEATS) for director Alex Russell’s psychological thriller – listen here. An exploration of fame and fixation in the digital age, Lurker marks the debut film score from Blume, who also writes and produces four original vocal tracks for the film’s fictional pop star played by actor Archie Madekwe.

For his directorial debut, director Alex Russell turned to his longtime friend Kenneth Blume to craft not only a sonic landscape for the film but also a genuine musical identity for its fictional pop star. The original songs found Blume collaborating with a number of renowned musicians and songwriters, including both Rex Orange County and Dijon, each of whose own music and careers were inspirational starting points for the onscreen character played by Archie Madekwe. Together with his original score, which finds Blume crafting layers of atmospheric synthwork and dark, pulsating rhythms, the soundtrack drives the film’s propulsive narrative as it dives into the darkly seductive alure of the LA music scene. Lurker makes its theatrical debut on Friday, August 22 from MUBI.

Kenneth Blume (FKA Kenny Beats) is Los Angeles-based, Connecticut-raised, 5x Grammy-nominated producer, engineer and songwriter whose transformative career and “Don’t Over Think Shit'' mantra has positioned him as one of the decade's most influential and compassionate producers and artists. Globally known for his break-out success producing full-length albums with Vince Staples, IDLES, Denzel Curry, Key!, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Rico Nasty, Freddie Gibbs, and 03 Greedo, Kenny’s impact extends far beyond his production.

In 2024, Kenny stepped away from content creation to build his dream studio.
