M-Theory Audio Signs Colombian Thrashers PERPETUAL WARFARE

Forged in the underground of Bogotá, PERPETUAL WARFARE delivers a neck-breaking assault of ferocious riffs, blistering speed, and uncompromising aggression. M-Theory was immediately taken aback by the unrelenting savagery, yet also by the band’s overall progression and maturity from earlier material and conversations began leading to the latest addition to our diverse and exciting label roster.

“It feels like a long road to get here; we’ve toured, played in places we never imagined when we started, and shared stages with bands that influenced us from the beginning, all while doing everything entirely DIY,” explains singer/guitarist Camilo Muñoz. “Being the first Colombian band to sign with M-Theory is a great honor. I think Marco and M-Theory are the right partner for us on this new stage; they understood where the band is today and where we want to go next. We're beyond excited about the future with M-Theory!”

The first stop of this new venture is introducing you to PERPETUAL WARFARE’s new music and “Nihil Sumus” is now on all streaming/download digital platforms for you to check out.

“M-Theory Audio has believed in 20 years of hard work, and we’re answering with the most aggressive and mature music of our career. ‘Nihil Sumus’ is the first single and the title track of our upcoming album. It brings together all the aggression we’ve built over these two decades,” states bassist Wilson Muñoz. “We want to remind people that faith and hope are sometimes not enough to make us face our mistakes, because at the end of the day, we are simply nothing.”

M-Theory Audio in collaboration with Colombia’s Rec label will release a limited 7” (300 copies) featuring “Nihil Sumus” and next single as a double A-side collectible – out in Oct.

UAL WARFARE

Hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, the quartet have carved a path of sonic devastation through relentless touring and explosive releases. Drawing inspiration from classic thrash pioneers while injecting modern extremity, the quartet stands as the dominant emerging force in South American metal. Formed in 2006 by brothers Camilo Muñoz (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Wilson Muñoz (bass), the band blends 1980s Bay Area and Teutonic thrash metal influences with aggressive modern Latino execution. Following their inception, the group quickly built a local following before delivering their full-length debut, ‘Justicia, Libertad y Decadencia,’ in 2010. Over the following decade, the group released two more albums, ‘The Age of War’ in 2013 and ‘Earthliens’ in 2018, alongside numerous EPs, singles and splits solidifying their lineup with drummer Esteban Díaz (who joined in 2014) and lead guitarist Camilo Solórzano (who joined in 2022). Through relentless DIY efforts and the establishment of their own entity, Wild Noise Productions, PERPETUAL WARFARE grew from underground local heroes to standard-bearers for South American metal. Lyrically, their music explores anti-war topics, corruption, socio-political collapse, and existential struggles. Widely recognized for their active touring, PERPETUAL WARFARE have played across 20 countries including headlining tours across S. America, 35 shows in the US and almost a month of European dates alongside Japanese cult band Abigail. Additionally, the band have performed on 70,000 Tons of Metal, Knotfest (Mexico and Colombia), Rock al Parque (Colombia) and Winter Rising Fest (France) sharing stages with international metal mainstays including Slayer, Sepultura, Accept, Coroner, Suicidal Tendencies, Testament, and Cannibal Corpse, in addition to two sold-out nights opening for Megadeth at Bogotá's Movistar Arena to nearly 30,000 attendees. Today, the band was also confirmed to present their special XX Year Show for the 30th Edition of the biggest open-air festival in Latin America – Festival Rock al Parque, as a long-experienced national special guest. This event will take place on Oct 10, 11 and 12th at Simon Bolivar Park in the capital city of Colombia, alongside acts like Ministry, Tryptikon, Stratovarius, Apocalyptica, Grave, Hellbutcher, among others.
