Macklemore & Ryan Lewis plays at Rock Werchter

It’s going to be a merry bunch... On Sunday 3 July, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will make their entrance at Rock Werchter. It’s going to be a grand spectacle, with lots of confetti, with doses of humour, with sing-alongs and jump-alongs, partying is the only option!

Humour and social critique, these were the elements which made a smash hit out of ‘Thrift Shop’ (2012). The song from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis was a refreshing break from the bling-bling of American rappers. It took a good four months to reach the top spot in the Billboard Hot 100, but then it started winning all sorts of awards. The single was good for 850 million views, 8 million downloads, 2 Grammy Awards and a parody on Sesame Street. And then it was blast-off. The singles ‘Can’t Hold Us’, ‘Same Love’ and ‘Downtown’ catapulted Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to star status. At Werchter they present their second album ‘This Unruly Mess I’ve Made’. This will be released on 26 February.
